John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music has touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell, New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado and eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado have inspired many people to move to the state. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame says that John Denver is unlike any other performer who has the recognizable image of Colorado. In 2011, Denver was named the first Hall of Fame inductee. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for a lot of people around the world. In my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting individuals who are from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell them you're from Colorado The first thing they'll use are"Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist following a brief career performing in small folk music group was Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the tune, however Denver discovered that it was destined to become a smash hit when he heard an earlier version.
