Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to prominence after the release of the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number in the year 1994. The album was Gold at the age of 15 years old. R. Kelly was a major influence on this collaboration which put the singer into the spotlight. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It featured If Your Girls Only Knew the single that was most popular. Aaliyah was a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. In 2000, she appeared alongside the martial arts icon Jet Li as Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, a film producer who was at an awards show in which she was cast, noticed her. In 2002, she was able to be part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was based on Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, featuring Zee as her character. The singer has received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. The actress is Indian American of the her first generation, who was born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is derived from her marriage name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar as her professional names. The acting career of her began in mid-2000's with minor roles on TV and films. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. In addition, she was a part of several commercials that included Volvo and many other major car companies. She lives in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting profession.
